To all members of the US. Embassy guard force:

I have heard rumors that some of you plan to either not show up for duty or walk off your posts. As you know, I will
always support the guard force in every way possible, but I exist, and you exist to protect this Mission and its people.
That is ourjoint responsibility, and the guard force is a critical part of the overall RSO security team.

Yourjobs are based on trust. Trust that you have the right mindset, training, skills, and mostly importantly, the
personal responsibility necessary to protect others in this high threat environment. If you willfully abandon your posts
or neglect your duties, you will knowingly and intentionally put the people ofthis Mission in danger. By taking that
action, you will be demonstrating that you cannot be trusted. And if you cannot be trusted, you cannot be employed at
the US. Embassy.

I know that many of you are angry and frustrated at the slow pace of the legal battles underway and the continuing
discussions between all parties. I also know that the courts, and not the streets are the only way toward a true and
lasting solution. I am you partner in achieving justice, but I can only remain your partner if you maintain the sacred
trust that exists between us and the people we protect.

Thank you for all your work these many years, and thank you for all the good work yet to do. I pray for your patience
in adversity, for your continued faithful service, and forjustice for all.
