This responds to your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request dated June 22, 2015,
tor DOJ guidelines on whether or not seek a nondisclosure order to go along with a subpoena
to a media organization conceming comments on their website Because you directed your
request to the Mail Referral Unit, Justice Management Division for appropriate
routing. it was not received by this Office until June 24, 2015. This response is made on behalf
of the Gtfice of the Attorney General.

Please be advised that a search has been conducted of the electronic database of the
Departmental Executive Secretariat, which maintains certain records of the Offices of the
Attorney General and the Deputy Attorney General records. and no records responsive to your
request were located

For your information. Congress excluded three discrete categories of law enforcement
and national security record from the requirements of the FOIA. See 5 U.S.C. 552(c)
(2012;. This response is limited to those records that are subject to the requirements of the
FOIA. This is a standard notitication that is given to all our requesters and should not be taken
