The information is privileged as an attomey-client communication and therefore exempt from disclosure under FOIL pursuant to Public Officers Law which permits an agency to deny access to records or portions thereof if they are specifically exempted from disclosure by state or federal statute; here, CPLR ?3 1 01 prohibits the disclosure of attomey work product and 4503(a) prohibits disclosure of confidential communications between an attomey and client. Should you so desire, you may appeal this decision.
